Responsibilities:
- Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances
- Coordinate and pre-stage all necessary items for die change.
- Set up and program new jobs on initial run.
- Manually loads parts or blanks into machine and place parts into inventory baskets.
- Loads coils and feeds material into die where applicable.
- Inspects components and assemblies visually for quality defects including scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, etc.
- Monitors press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance.
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication (tools utilized include hand held pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, die bars, etc).
