Required Skills
- Wears all required safety equipment and ensures area and environment are safe
- Supports the Quality Program by performing a combination of related tasks in conformance with quality standards
- Responsible for inspection, tests, surveillance, and quality operations support
- Disposition of product for Production Support
- Control the Flow and Labeling of all Suspect or Trial parts that are relocated to the Material Review Board (MRB) Cage to ensure adequate inventory recording
- Collects data and enters it into appropriate reporting tools; GDM, PAX-IT, etc.
- Conducts physical dimensional layouts of parts and records results in appropriate customer or internal format, i.e.; SDS
- Provide quality knowledge and respond to quality calls to Operations, and manufacturing associates as needed
- Coordinate efforts to support the proper procedures and ensure compliance during internal sort/rework / and repair activities
- Interact with management and various departments to insure quality requirements are achieved and maintained during the production processes as well as the receiving of materials, and the shipment of product
- Support and assist production changeovers and adhere to quality procedures and work instructions
- Self-directed and encourages continuous improvement through involvement and input
- Clean and organize the area, keep the area free of clutter and safety hazards – 6S
- Act as liaison between manufacturing and customer
- Audits manufacturing processes and finished products
- Manage lube testing, usage, and reporting
- Conduct associate Quality training for new associates/new programs and other projects as determined by management/customers (The goal is to protect the customer from internal defects.)
- Communicate internal and external concerns and relevant information
- Initiate containment and countermeasure processes when necessary (Quality Alerts both Internal and External.)
- Accumulate data from various audits for review and tracking
- Perform check fixture training and maintenance as necessary
Required Experience
_Education: _Associates Degree in a related technical field or High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent problem-solving skills such as 8D and 5 Whys
- Able to train and deliver information to various work groups
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn various computer programs
- Understanding and strong knowledge of quality systems, process control, statistical process control (SPC), control plans, work instructions, and product layout
- Excellent communication skills as evidenced in associate relations, team skills, and the ability to interface directly with the customer to resolve issues
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attendance record
- Basic understanding of Quality Management systems and Environmental Management System standards
