We’re looking someone with a scientific or engineering background, experienced in managing, promoting, directing, planning and coordinating activities for Enterprise-level software products.  You’ll be providing direction and vision to internal teams whilst ensuring synergy with marketing, sales, training, education and professional services, so there’ll be lots of opportunity to demonstrate your fine-tuned communication skills as you operate between these different groups.

You thrive being fully integrated into the Engineering team, focusing on improving features, performance, quality, reliability and maintenance, demonstrating your “tech” as well as “business” vocabulary. Unusually, we operate in a Waterfall environment, so this might be a challenge, but one that you welcome. You’re able to work simultaneously on many priorities, which change frequently. You also understand the importance of internal and external customer satisfaction, encouraging and using feedback to make improvements and new product developments.

You’re hot on developing processes and managing all the accompanying documentation around product features, specifications and extensions, creating and communicating product roadmaps and timelines, providing product information to your team-mates across the company.

You love to understand your marketplace and continuously monitor competitive offerings, understanding their features and how we stack up against them, sharing your knowledge with Product Marketing. You’ll also use your expertise in this area to provide proposal/bid and development assistance.

As a Product owner you’ll get involved with Initiating and negotiating contracts and licenses for new technologies, so we’re looking for a solid knowledge in this area.  Did you know that we have 227 patents granted and more in the pipeline?

This role is part of a cohesive, supportive team reporting to an empowering Director, you each have your own products to manage, some of them integrate, so there’s a lot of cross-collaboration within the team.  You won’t have any direct reports but will direct resources to complete tasks in a matrix environment, demonstrating your leadership skills.
