    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports, including mentoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when situations warrant.
    • Provide key input in the development of departmental strategic objectives along with the identification of key measurable indicators to support departmental objectives.
    • Provide direction and leadership in accordance with the objectives of the business plan of the plant.
    • Responsible for the objectives of safety, quality, production and delivery of the maintenance department in his area of responsibility.
    • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment to support production work.
    • Responsible for managing preventive maintenance programs.
    • Responsible for ensuring responsibility and discipline.
    • Responsible for maintaining maximum levels of utilization and efficiency of the press.
    • Drive shift manning levels and utilization to ensure budget compliance.
    • Provide leadership and promote positive morale and ensure a total team concept.
    • Provide the proactive leadership necessary to achieve and maintain a continuous improvement mindset for the team.
    • Coordinate and evaluate the necessary training and team building.
    • Coordinate and assist in the orientation of new colleagues.
    • Complete individual work team performance reviews for probationary colleagues.
    • Track, monitor and implement required improvement activities related to business plan objectives and issues.
    • Assist with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction objectives.
    • Provide colleagues with the necessary training to be successful in their duties.
    • Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team.
    • Enter work orders in the MLS system.
    • Ensure that work orders are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Communicate the overtime schedule to the work team.
    • Assist in the creation of new jobs.
    • Enter hours of individual colleagues in the Kronos system.
    • Maintain daily communication markers for each line.
    • Communicate key information to the organization through the daily "turn to shift" communication plan.
    • Engineering changes assigned by Champion are communicated and coordinated accordingly with all departments.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (eg 8D reports, department meetings, etc.).
    • Support plant activities to achieve customer awards and quality records (eg TS 16949/ISO14001).
    • Prepare all accident reports to include root cause identification and corrective action.
    • Ensure that all direct reports are aware of their Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) responsibilities and hold all direct reports accountable.
    • Responsible for ensuring that the entire team has the necessary tools and materials to properly perform their duties safely and efficiently.
    • Ensure that all safety devices are correctly placed and used and verify the individual use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the work team.
    • Responsible for following all internal safety procedures and required by OSHA when performing all daily work activities.
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
    • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the work area.
    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures (for example, Quality Policies Manual, Colleagues Manual, Level II procedures, etc.).

     Qualifications:

    • Preferably two to five years as a maintenance supervisor.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping and/or assembly processes required for the position.
    • Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
