    We are seeking a Media Analyst to be located at our office in Eden Prairie, MN office.  Always a bustling hive of activity, Merchandising is a central business area at Bluestem. It drives sales and profitability by determining customer demand, keeping a close eye on trends, and successfully managing the P&L. This group evolves new business strategies and marketing plans for catalogs and websites, while constantly growing assortment across brands.  The Media Analyst is responsible for product presentation and shopping experience in print and/or online for assigned product categories and/or business units.   The Media Analyst role has primary responsibility for executing the Brand’s assortment strategy and customer experience across channels of distribution.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

    • Provide input into strategies based upon current business and competitive trends
    • Understand assortment strategies and key initiatives to drive overall financial results and customer experience goals
    • Responsible for placement and promotion of all product in print and/or online
      • Analyze performance to make recommendations on print and/or online placement, presentation and promotional activity based upon sales performance and productivity; includes catalog “slotting” and/or online placement using appropriate web taxonomy
      • Manage content and execution for all promotions and online shops including Brand showcases, seasonal, and lifestyle shops; includes catalog and online promo “slotting”, accurate pricing, appropriate price messaging (eg. was/now) and rebate execution
      • Responsible for homepage and category banner advertising to drive marketing/promotional strategies and results
      • Conduct ongoing review of Bluestem distribution channels as well as competitors for opportunities to improve the shopping and promotional experience
      • Ensure consistent, complimentary customer experience across all channels
    • Prepare for and attend cross-functional web promo planning sessions with Marketing, Site Operations and Creative teams in order to align on print and web campaigns
      • Conduct catalog and web post mortem analyses and best seller analyses
      • Coordinate print and web presentation and pagination with other media analysts to maximize company results

     

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
    • 3-5 years relevant work experience
    • Proven knowledge and ability in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
