JOB SUMMARY

This position updates and makes transactions on tracking system based on information obtained from yard jobs, train crew, radio console regarding industry movements in road. This position prints work orders, manages the readers work list, does the delivery (DEL) and receipt (REC) with Ferrovalle, reviews interchange DEL and REC with Union Pacific (UP) and KCS, reviews the train list vs video camera records to validate interchange drags.

Receives instruction, guidance, and direction from others. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. Works on sub portions of projects using knowledge developed through education or experience. Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.

JOB DUTIES

• Attends radio console communication with yard jobs, locals and any kind of ID train to update trains in line movements (spotting, pulling, setting and picking).
• Completes work order printed, programmed or not programmed work, then updates the information in the respective Work order in the appropriate system (MCS).
• Prints locals trains work orders.
• Performs and validates interchanges received from / delivered to Ferrovalle (Pantaco, Valle de Mexico and Lecheria), UP, and KCS, including trackage rights with FSRR.
• Performs the KCSM trains set origin in Ferrovalle, do the train set, locos assignment, End of Train (EOT), crew, get pdf files then sent to Ferrovalle thru email.
• Processes AEI reads and works the list regarding KCSM, UP, KCS, Ferromex, Ferrovalle and Ferrosur sheared readers
• Requests Fleet Distribution and Customer Service Center waybill assignment for cars received from Ferrovalle without destination.
• Codes units that requests Bad Order codification to cars in line thru Interruption of Service report CCO.
• Sends 418’s to Ferrovalle.
• Monitors and follows-up on lack of Intermodal consolidations at Pantaco ramp.
• Coding and release of units according to requests.
• Coordinates Supervisors and Clerks looking at the correct work order update, interchanges delivered and received from Ferrovalle, UP and KCSR.
• Reviews the AEI readers to maintain the car inventory timely.
• Get and print the physical train list from the security employee at Nuevo Laredo bridge, then look for the video recorded in camera system, then compare train list vs video to get additional cars containers not offered or car offered and didn’t cross.
• Interchanges received trains classification in Sanchez tracks.
• Communicates to Customer Service Center and KCSM Billing regarding loaded cars received in Ferrovalle without waybill.
• Runs all kind of reports and summaries regarding the task done during the shift.
• Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or enrolled in an accredited program with less than one year until graduation, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic English skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

• 2 years’ experience in customer service desk, customer’s communication, or teamwork administration, data recorder, data management.
