    Job Title: OPERATIONS SPECIALIST.

    Based at: CÁDIZ, SPAIN.

    The job is based in Rota , Spain. However all relocation and travel fees will be covered.

    JOB SUMMARY: Sanford Federal is looking for an experienced OPERATIONS SPECIALIST who shall be giving or obtaining information, resolving problems, relaying instructions, following up and coordinating work, advising personnel of requirements.

    • REQUIREMENTS: The Candidate must meet the following requirements

    • EXPERIENCE

    • Must have a minimum of eight years of experience directly supporting the US military as either an active duty or reserve service member, US civil service employee, or contractor employee.

    • Be Able to maintain a SECRET security clearance.

    • Be Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of tools to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

    • Preferably ten years US Military service experience in an operations department.

    • Preferably have experience with reading, writing, and sending correspondence via Naval Message Traffic system.

    • LICENSURE

    • Possess and maintain an active and valid US driver’s license.

    • Posses a valid US passport.

    • DUTIES: the candidate will be responsible for:

    • MAJOR DUTIES :

    • Creates and disseminates daily operations summary products, required reports, notifications, operational messages, and information papers as required.

    • Manages information and data, identifies information, and then directs relevant information to the right person at the right time in a usable format to facilitate situational understanding and decision-making.

    • Develops and manages the presentation of the periodic operations briefs. Assembles, drafts and submits approved Situation Reports, operations portions of NAVAF NAVEUR/SIXTH Fleet update briefings, synchronizes commander critical information requirements (CCIR), serious incident reports (SIR), SITREP, operation reports (OPREP) operation summaries (OPSUM) and other data as required.

    • Helps manage, process, and report theater entry issues and tracks personnel traveling to the USAFRICOM AOR.

    • Serves as a point of contact (POC) for incoming and outgoing Requests for Information (RFI) responses to daily operations and emerging contingencies.

    • Monitors readiness as the command’s Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and Readiness Cost Reporting Program (RCRP) coordinator.

    • Inputs mission and unit readiness data, including the status of resources and training systems data into DRRS-N/S and RCRP, and uses it to make mission readiness assessments against standardized missions and tasks.

    • Receives and processes readiness reports and data from and to DRRS-N/S.

    • Assesses the progress of units and disseminates operations summaries; coordinating with higher, subordinate, and adjacent units; supports the commander's decision-making process through DRRS and advises the command with timely and accurate information. Uses critical thinking skills to assess the command’s readiness and recommend actions for improvement.

    • Completes and coordinates mission and mission support projects, tasking, actions and programs assigned by higher headquarters, with other outside organizations that impact mission success.

    • Continuously monitors the progress toward accomplishing tasks and missions by comparing forecasted outcomes to actual events.

    • Monitors changes to situations and maintain currency and accuracy of information. Continuously relevant information on the situations and operations to support decision makers.

    • Evaluates the actual situation or progress of the operation, and recommends course(s) of action. Assists the N3 in the execution of operational matters and procedures as directed.

    • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships to gain an understanding of current issues, activities, projects, and operational problems that have potential to impact current and long-term operations.

    • Responds to short notice emergent requirements and delivers quality, well-researched products within suspense dates.

    • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral; and have superior interpersonal skills.

    • Must have general knowledge of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Force (NECF) forces and tactics, training, and procedures (TTPs).

    • Must have the ability to develop spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.

    • SPECIALIZED TASKS:

    • Draft, review, collaborate and brief draft CNE/CNA Operations Order (OPORD), Task Order (TASKORD), and Fragmentary Order (FRAGORD) messages.

    • Monitors daily message traffic and disseminates appropriately.

    • Draft and submit other N3 messages as required.

    • Track daily Operations Event/Incident Report (OPREP) feeder and quad chart.

    • Review and disseminate Daily Intentions Message (DIM) and pertinent higher headquarters (HHQ) and adjacent unit message traffic.

    • Prepare, release, and track country clearances and airlift requests.

    • Track country approvals and report country arrivals.
