Sanford Rose is actively recruiting an Accounting Generalist. This is a HYBRID ROLE. The Accounting Generalist will be responsible for providing general accounting support to the National Finance Office with a focus on accounts payable data entry and cash application oversight. General accounting support includes data entry, daily cash balancing of cash receipts, shared inbox monitoring and assisting with project streamlining and implementation. This position reports to the Finance Manager.

Tasks

• Monitor and route vendor invoice for approvals
• Match invoices to purchase orders
• Enter daily AP invoices into ERP accurately and timely
• Perform annual vendor documentation review and assist with year-end 1099s
• Monitor client cash receipts and ensure daily cash posting is completed
• Review cash receipt journal entries for accuracy
• Act as subject matter expert related to cash application process and procedure
• Train new staff on cash application
• Complete monthly journal imports to support month end close
• Ad hoc duties to support regional finance month end close process
• Additional responsibilities and ad hoc reporting and analysis as identified and assigned

Experience and Education

• 2-5 years in relevant position
