    Job Description

    GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provides technical support and system administration of the Clinic's computer systems in accordance with the mission, vision and values of the organization. This position will provide support to the Oncology departments in Ridley Tree Cancer Center (RTCC). On occasion, this position will be required to attend special events on evenings and on the weekends.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide routine to moderately complex technical desk-side support in the Oncology department in support of treatment equipment, computer hardware, applications and peripherals; scope of departments includes focus on Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Infusion Center, Surgical Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, and Oncology Pharmacy Services departments.
    • Responsible for providing ongoing IT applications and systems technical support, routine assessment of current systems and future needs/opportunities, related project management ownership & support, and general administration of the above for the Clinic's Oncology departments.
    • Receive, prioritize, document and actively resolve end user service / help requests by collaborating with equipment vendors, IT, Applications & Analytics, and Oncology department stakeholders.
    • Advise on existing and new technology upgrades & updates in collaboration with vendors, the IT and Oncology department stakeholders.
    • Ensure the effective support and maintenance of the Sansum Clinic computers including desktops, printers and peripherals systems to industry standards and in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve problems per documented methods and instruction.
    • Respond to helpdesk tickets as assigned and present customer feedback to management. Monitor task status through completion and provide status updates.
    • Maintain as current knowledge of Sansum Clinic computer systems, software application, and participate in system upgrades and testing.
    • Participate in rotating "on-call" schedule with other members within the Information Technology team.
    • Participate in training activities to maintain technical currency and to broaden product knowledge. Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of assigned applications and duties.
    • Regular, onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE:

    • Bachelor's degree required. Healthcare or related experience in Oncology is preferred.
    • Experience providing Level 3 support of server hardware, firmware, OS and applications.
    • Experience monitoring systems including servers, applications and databases.
    • Prefer one or more industry certifications: MCSA, CompTIA A+, Security+, UNIX / Linux System Administration and/or other relevant industry recognized certifications.
    • Two-plus years of direct involvement in computer administration and/or database administration in a large distributed TCP/IP Microsoft Windows and/or UNIX / Linux environments.
