Join in on the excitement of our Summer Exhibitions in downtown Santa Barbara within the newly renovated Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Security Guards wanted and welcome at $16/hour for schedules of part-time regular, and variable status (scheduled as needed up to 19 hours/week), with opportunities to work on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. Duties include patrolling the Museum to prevent theft, damage and injuries, monitoring and reporting any security or safety irregularities, and providing information to visitors. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and effective communication and customer service skills. Some security or law enforcement experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Part-time and variable status is eligible for - 32 hours paid sick leave and if needed up to 80 COVID related sick pay. - 20 or more hours/week and include: prorated vacation pay up to 15 days in the first 2 years, 13 holidays pay, 403b retirement eligibility, BikeStop membership, and SBMA membership and Store discounts, all while working in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara. - Compensation: $16.00/hour - Successful Background Check and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and booster is required. - Applications accepted via mail, e-mail (preferred), or fax.
