Job Title: Animal Experience Attendant (Part-Time Seasonal and/or Regular)

Schedule: Must be available weekends and weekdays, any time between 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. up to a maximum of 25 hours/week: some holidays, school breaks, and some evenings for scheduled events.

We are looking for positive, outgoing, and confident individuals to facilitate public giraffe feeding. This position includes an active role in delivering an educational message to guests about our giraffe conservation efforts and their natural history. Attendants will perform a variety of tasks such as: cash handling, deck and feed preparation, providing lettuce to guests, educate our zoo visitors on our amazing animals and conservation stories. Team members are also expected to perform other assignments across the Zoo as needed.

Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Outgoing personality with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Must be personable, friendly, and able to establish and enforce rules as well firmly. Background in Biology/ Zoology or prior experience in education and interpretation preferred. Must be responsible, strict adherence to and enforcement of rules is crucial. Must be able to climb at the top of the 26’ climbing wall at least four times a day.

Compensation: $13.00/hour, or DOE
