We are seeking responsible and professional certified lifeguards to ensure that swimmers and staff are safe in and around the pool during our programming. Job Duties:
Maintain constant surveillance of the pool.
Ensure that all patrons are safe and follow rules of the pool.
Respond immediately in an emergency and provide necessary care until emergency services arrive.
Assist with setting up and taking down necessary equipment for our programming (cover/uncover the pool, putting in/taking out lane lines, swim lesson equipment, pop up tents, etc.).
Requirements:
Must be lifeguard certified through the American Red Cross. Certification classes are available through the Red Cross website for those looking to get started.
Enjoy working outside all year. All pools are outdoor.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Must be on time to all shifts.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Santa Clara Swim Club is a tobacco and drug free environment.
Schedule:
We are open 7 days per week and have many schedules available. We are looking for mornings as early as 5:15am, evenings as late as 8:45pm and everything in between. Openings are for year-round guards.
