  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Operate satellite servicers for a variety of unique Rendezvous, Proximity Operations and Docking (RPOD) missions during all mission phases including launch and early orbit, RPOD, service, and disposal.
    • Support rehearsals, continued Mission Operations Center (MOC) development, interface development and control.
    • Develop and execute scripts, checklists, and procedures to align with the mission concept and requirements.
    • Provide feedback including discrepancy reports to the ground system and software team in the development of mission analysis tools and mission operations tools.
    • Support the planning and design of launch & operations milestone reviews, such as Mission Rehearsals and Operations Readiness Reviews.
    • Execute real-time operational actions based on approved checklists or Mission Director decisions.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and customers.
    • Assist in documenting and diagnosing on-orbit anomalies.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in satellite operations engineering, including time spent on console in a satellite mission operations center.
    • Awareness of systems engineering principles and tools across space and ground systems.
    • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
    • Collaborative communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to provide mentoring across the team in satellite operations.
    • Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and agile environment, meeting challenges, such as balancing the system engineering needs of programs at different stages of maturity and enabling successful remote collaboration with various teams around the world.
    • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD in science, technology, engineering or math, or equivalent experience.

    Salary range: _$90,000 – $110,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
