Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sausage Maker to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, mixing, stuffing, and packaging sausage products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and consistency. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and grind meats according to company recipes and production requirements.

Mix seasonings and ingredients to create consistent, high-quality sausage blends.

Operate sausage-making equipment including grinders, mixers, stuffers, and packaging machines.

Monitor production processes to maintain quality, texture, and flavor standards.

Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines (HACCP/USDA standards).

Inspect ingredients and finished products for quality and freshness.

Label, weigh, package, and store products appropriately.

Maintain accurate production records and logs as required.

Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas daily.

Assist with inventory management and ingredient rotation (FIFO).

Qualifications

Previous experience in sausage production, meat processing, or a related food-production role preferred.

Knowledge of meat handling procedures and food safety standards.

Ability to operate and maintain sausage-making equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
