Staying true to Savannah Bee’s mission, Ted Dennard, Owner and President, is using his expanded reach to educate more people about the wonder of the honeybee. In 2013, he founded the Bee Cause Project to install beehives in 1,000 schools to raise a generation that understands, loves and protects the honeybee. Ted’s lifelong passion for honeybees is seen in his mission, his retail store experience, the specialty honey, and the luxurious, beehive-based body care products he distributes. Today, Savannah Bee Company is working to incrementally improve experience as well as systems while expanding the company’s reach to more people.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer with strong creative and organizational skills to design and manage various marketing projects/campaigns. Working in a collaborative team environment, the ideal candidate will be responsible for producing internal and external marketing materials to support new product launches and growth initiatives across all channels of the business. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented designer to join a growing brand and be actively involved in a variety of projects across all platforms. Must have strong portfolio of prior work on digital and print media, including CPG packaging. Available immediately.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

1. Create new designs and design materials for internal and external marketing projects. This includes both print and digital media such as: email, social media assets/content, flyers, brochures, advertising, internet graphics/banners, direct marketing materials, retail signage, product packaging, displays, etc.
2. Effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure that the visual design communicates the desired message, and functions successfully for a variety of designated uses.
3. Actively participate in brainstorming sessions with internal team and outside partners.
4. Explore multiple options in concept and design phases to find the best possible solution.
5. Ensure high-quality work products in accordance with the Savannah Bee brand.
6. Show craftsmanship and a high level of attention to detail.
7. Ensure brand consistency and integrity in all your work.
8. Show ability to work on several projects concurrently.
9. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Passion for the mission and brand.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field.
• Five plus years in graphic design.
• Strong computer skills.
• Well versed in all Adobe Creative Suite components, with an emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Multi-media expertise is a plus.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Experience working with photographers to manage photo shoots from start to finish.
• Flexible and maintains composure as demands change.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
• Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
• Effective analytical, time management, problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
• Strong portfolio of demonstrated creativity.
