Wholesale Territory Representative
Job Description
This position is responsible for the sale and marketing of Savannah Stone Source products to showrooms and distributors in an assigned territory (current open territory includes Maryland, North Carolina, Northeast Tennessee, Ohio, and Virginia). You will represent and grow business for the company out in the field via both face-to-face and phone interactions with potential and existing customers. You are responsible for excellent product knowledge in order to offer the best possible customer experience as well as provide hands-on explanations of products.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
· Conduct sales meetings out in the field via face-to-face and phone interactions with both potential and existing accounts.
· Meet sales goals and expectations through development and maintenance of account relationships.
· Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals.
· Attend industry events, trade shows, conferences, and other possible sales outlets.
· New business prospecting and development by planning, scheduling, and making sales calls/visits with required follow up in a timely manner.
· Provide excellent customer service for all accounts by supplying information, answering questions, and performing product knowledge demonstrations.
· Review all orders to ensure they are executed correctly.
· Weekly sales projection reports
· Attend bi-weekly department meetings.
· Log all sales calls, interactions, and appointments into HubSpot CRM software.
· Follow up on order progress and delivery.
· Resolve product and/or account issues.
· Stay abreast of market and competitor information.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
· Excellent customer service skills required with at least 2 years’ experience in hardscapes or interior surfaces environment.
· 3-5 years of demonstrated success in outside sales. Experience selling high quality exterior hardscape and/or interior surfaces preferred.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to and translate client’s needs into sales.
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
· Must be able to travel 75% of the time to stone yards, tile show rooms, hardscape supply and masonry yards.
· Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word & Excel.
· Excel at ‘follow-up’ and ‘follow through.’
· Familiarity with customer relationship management principles.
· Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
· Ability to multi-task well and calmly navigate competing and changing priorities.
· Ability to occasionally lift and or carry up to 70 lbs.
