Job Summary
The Meat Cutter ensures the store’s meat department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Meat Cutter delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s meat merchandising plan and trimming /preparing standard cuts of meat as outlined in the Meat Cutter Resource Manual.
Responsibilities
Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies and procedures
Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
Assist with product ordering
Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality
Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy
How to impress:
Attempt to keep an OPEN availability (including weekends)
Stop by the store and introduce yourself to the Store Manager

Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age
High School degree or equivalent
Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members
Work both independently and with a team
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Maintain regular and prompt attendance
Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
