Loan Assistants are the main support for our team of Loan Officers. This position involves working extensively with Loan Officers, customers, processors and third party-companies to complete consumer and basic commercial loan packages.

     

    The ideal candidate has one or more years of experience in a support role in a professional, fast-paced, dynamic environment, which served the needs of multiple employees. A successful person in this role is organized; detail oriented; personable; has strong time management skills; and is comfortable interacting with a broad range of individuals, including customers, executive officers and third-party companies.     ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.     1. Obtains information and proper documentation from customers and third party companies related to the consumer and commercial loan origination process including ordering appraisals, environmental reports, credit reports, TRID documents, preliminary title reports, customer identification verifications, UCC Searches, insurance information, flood certificates, communicating with customers directly and various other items.
    2. Prepares pre-funding worksheets/order forms, loan documentation checklists and any other communications necessary to properly submit a loan package to the Loan Processing department for consumer loans.
    3. Prepares pre-funding worksheets/order forms, loan documentation checklists and any other communications necessary to properly submit a loan package to the Loan Processing department for basic commercial loans; i.e. unsecured lines of credit, equipment loans, auto loans, etc.
    4. Prepares appropriate loan disbursement entries (cashier’s checks, deposit, wire transfer etc.) on signing date, according to loan disbursement instructions provided by Loan Processor. Distributes completed loan packages to Loan Accounting Department for boarding.
    5. Facilitates customer loan signings for consumer and basic commercial loans.
    6. Provides administrative assistance to commercial, consumer and Banking Center loan officers. This includes filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, organizing data, maintaining supplies. Also serves as primary receptionist for loan officers, answers and directs calls and walk-in customers to the appropriate loan officer or department, schedules appointments, maintains loan officer and support staff in/out log, resolves customer inquiries with in prescribed authority, promotes business, and is a Notary Public.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
    • Minimum of one year progressively responsible experience in a high demand, multi-tasked, professional position or an associate degree in a related business field.
    • Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook.

    PREFERENCES

    • Previous experience in banking position
    • Previous experience in a position related to lending
    • Knowledge of basic financial forms i.e. tax returns, schedules and financial statements
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Bilingual
