Duties & Responsibilities
● Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning tasks in the front of the house areas, including dining areas, waiting areas, restrooms, entrances, and other public spaces. This involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, and removing trash to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
● Restroom Maintenance: Ensure that restrooms are clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and hand towels. Regularly check and clean restroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
● Surface Disinfection: Use appropriate cleaning agents to sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as tables, chairs, menus, door handles, and countertops, to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a healthy environment.
● Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials in designated areas. Ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly and maintained in a clean condition.
● Collaboration with Front of the House Staff: Coordinate with restaurant hosts, servers, and other front of the house staff to address immediate cleaning needs, respond to spills or accidents, and maintain cleanliness during operating hours.
● Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, using personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, and following established protocols for waste management and sanitation.
● Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
● Communication with Management: Report any cleaning or maintenance issues to the management team promptly.
Communicate any customer feedback or concerns related to cleanliness to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
● High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
● Prior experience in restaurant cleaning or a similar role is advantageous.
● Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and sanitation standards.
● Understanding of health and safety regulations related to restaurant cleanliness.
● Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
● Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and bending or reaching as necessary.
