  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Operate and maintain industrial saws to cut materials accurately per specifications. Responsibilities include quality checks, basic machine maintenance, and following safety protocols. Support production through material handling, recordkeeping, and effective team communication.

    • Operate and set up various saws (e.g., band saws, cold saws, chop saws) for different materials and cut specifications.
    • Ensure accurate cuts using stops, guides, and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
    • Inspect finished parts for quality and report any issues to supervisors.
    • Monitor equipment performance and perform routine maintenance (e.g., blade changes, lubrication).
    • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
    • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
    • Load/unload materials and assist with packing and transporting finished pieces.
    • Maintain production records and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Experience operating band saws, cold saws, chop saws and related equipment in a machine shop setting.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
    • Basic math skills for setting stops and guides.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Physical ability to lift and move materials.
    • Saw operator certification a plus.
