    We are looking for a Plumbing Technician to join our team! Sawyer Plumbing, LLC is a new company that is eager to expand rapidly. Potential candidates should be growth-oriented and excited to expand and grow with the ever-changing needs of our company. We are looking for someone who is ethical above all else. We need a self-starter who wants to achieve great things with us. We need someone who is extremely detail-oriented but who also knows how to get the job done on time and within budget. We are looking for a candidate who never says "I can't" but instead asks "How can I make this happen?" We need a plumber who treats every customer with courtesy, patience, and respect. The potential candidate also needs to be sales-focused through excellent customer service. This means always coming to the root of the problem instead of a temporary fix. The potential candidate will never ignore a plumbing issue but instead, bring it to the customer's attention and provide "no-pressure" options to correct it. Responsibilities: • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations while performing plumbing tasks. • Communicate with customers to explain the plumbing problems and recommended solutions. • Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used for billing and future reference. Qualifications: Technical qualifications We do residential service work and rough plumbing for renovations and additions. The potential candidate needs to be competent in both of these areas. Skills required: • Ability to install rough plumbing in new construction and additions. Drains and water lines. This means being able to look at a set of plans and install the plumbing in a way that meets or exceeds code requirements. • Ability to install and repair gas lines and appliances inside and outside. Candidates must be able to properly size gas lines and install them according to the IFGC. We leak test all work. (And not just your nose or a lighter!) • Ability to service boilers of all types. We work on forced water of all fuel types. • Familiarity with well water systems. Includes estimates, service, diagnostics, and replacements. We do not drill new wells. • Familiar with water conditioning. Ability to diagnose, install, and service the different types of equipment encountered in the field. • We perform drain cleanings and camera inspections. The candidate for this position must be experienced with different drain cleaning techniques. They also must be able to accurately locate, diagnose, and document (with photos, videos, and written summaries) the issues found during camera inspections. Non-technical qualifications We deal with customers in their homes every single day. We need a plumber who is personable, respectful, and clean. This means showing up on time. Keeping your physical appearance neat and clean. Refraining from using foul language around customers. No smokers, stoners, heavy drinkers, drug users, complainers or thieves. We are looking for someone with a positive, upbeat, “can do” attitude who wants to win every single day in an ethical way with the customer’s and company’s best interests in mind. Non-technical skills required: • Excellent customer service skills. We deal with customers in their homes every day and we want them to feel comfortable and in control while we are in their home. This means asking permission before altering people’s homes in any way (before cutting holes in walls, moving furniture, parking the truck in the way, making a lot of noise, etc.). It also means checking in with the customer frequently while working on their home. It means leaving the job site cleaner than how you found it. It means keeping a friendly and courteous demeanor towards the customer no matter how bad your day might be going. It means always going a step beyond what is required of you to leave the customer with a positive impression of you and the company. • Excellent ability to close jobs and increase revenues. We are looking for a plumber who enjoys the sales process, offering options, and closing jobs. This must always be done in an ethical manner. Pressuring customers into doing work that they don’t really need or want just for the revenue will not be tolerated. • Strong written and verbal skills for documenting and estimating jobs as well as dealing directly with customers. • Strong time management skills to be able to accurately assess job durations and thus provide real-time updates to customers and dispatch so we can give accurate arrival windows and keep customers happy. • Lastly, we need someone who is responsible and has good common sense. Many decisions will be required of you in the field on a daily basis and it’s up to you to keep a clear head and make the right decisions. You will be the one “in charge” of the jobs you run. Don’t try to pass the buck. Take ownership of everything you do. Compensation: $100,000+ Expected First-Year Earnings
