Research Intern (Public Data, Paid)
POSITION DESCRIPTIONSayari Labs is looking for a Data Analysis Intern (Paid) to join our Product team. You will work closely with our Engineering and Solutions teams, and will be responsible for researching public records databases, supporting data onboarding, and monitoring ongoing public data developments. This role is open to seniors, recent graduates and graduate students. You will report to the Global Data Manager. This role will be hybrid, with a preference for Washington DC-based candidates that can come into Sayari’s DC office 1-2 times a week. Responsibilities:Locate foreign government databases and third-party data vendors to identify valuable datasets for automated collection or purchaseKeep track of new public disclosure legislation, establishment of ultimate beneficial owner registries, etc.Support the Data team with: data onboarding, quality assurance, internal testing, and release to customersSupport with devising schemas to map large, complex datasets to Sayari’s ontologyMonitor ongoing developments in the public records & corporate data industryCollaborate with other teams to message & disseminate information about Sayari’s data holdingsRequired Skills & Experience:Extremely detail-orientedMinimum one year experience conducting complex, open-ended internet research for commercial, academic, or similar purposes (internship experience included)Ability to multitask, solve problems creatively, and triage competing prioritiesAbility to identify challenges before they arise and work proactively and creatively to address themHelpful Skills & Experience:Quantitative business analyst, coding, data science, or related experienceExperience with public records, due diligence/commercial intelligence tools, or open source investigative and corporate researchProfessional fluency in one or more priority languages (Russian, Chinese, French, Arabic, Spanish)Employment Period:June 15 to August 15, 2022 (Flexible on exact dates) Time Commitment: 20-40 hours per week.BenefitsWhat We Offer:A collaborative and positive culture - your team will be as smart and driven as youLimitless growth and learning opportunitiesA strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionTeam building events & opportunitiesSayari is an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourages diverse candidates to apply.
