    Arepet Industries, LLC has immediate openings for Night shift Scale Operators at our Von Ormy plant.

    Position Summary

    The scale operator will obtain accurate weights of incoming and outbound trucks and verify the proper loading of outbound trucks against purchase orders.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Coordinate drivers and productions team in the proper loading and unloading of trucks.

    Verify weight (gross, tare, net), truck numbers, truck company data and invoices billed for accuracy.

    Coordinate truck drivers to scales to obtain weights (gross, tare, net).

    Verify with drivers the correct Purchase Order (PO) number for correct loading of sand type.

    Verify weight (gross, tare, net), truck numbers, truck company data and invoices billed for accuracy.

    Attach tickets printed from scales to trucking company invoices of weights billed to AREPET for AREPET records and driver/truck company records.

    Assist the Foreman in updating the actual performance of Shift Operating Plans.

    Answer emails and phone calls directing inquiries to proper contacts.

    Maintain, clean, organize, office area and office equipment.

    Escalate productions and operations issues to the Production & Scale Controller, Foreman, and/or other Plant Management.

    Attend safety meetings and meetings of priority as required by Production & Scale Controller, Safety Manager, and Plant Manager.

    Execute the direction and priorities set by the Production & Scale Controller, Safety Manager and Plant Manager.

    May perform additional assignments as necessary.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed

    Must be able to perform detailed, frequent transactions

    Must be able to used office equipment such as PC, copier and scanner

    Must be able to read and write in English

    Must be service oriented with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment

    Must be able to follow instructions as well as make some independent decisions

    Must be able to perform duties in a safe and environmentally responsible manner

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED preferred

    Productions / operations experience preferred
