JOB SUMMARY
As a Director of Technology at Scenthound, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by overseeing and optimizing all aspects of information technology initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for delivering operational excellence through scalable systems: Software development, infrastructure, technology operations, data and analytics, security & compliance. This is a report to office position at our corporate headquarters in Jupiter, Florida.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stakeholder Communication: Offer clear and timely communication to stakeholders, particularly to the CEO, on the progress of projects, resource allocation, potential challenges, and needs.
Team Management: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate technology team members and team leads. Make crucial personnel decisions, including promotions and terminations.
Performance Management: Set clear performance standards and hold team members accountable. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors and partners, ensuring that collaborations are productive and meet company standards.·
Cross-Departmental Integration: Establish and maintain effective communication channels between Technology, Product, Operations, Franchise Development, and Marketing departments to ensure seamless collaboration and integration.
Technical Support Engagement: Actively participate in addressing and resolving incoming technical support inquiries, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
Budgeting: Oversee the department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure that the company remains competitive.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in projects and implement mitigation strategies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple software development projects.
Experience in both small and large corporate environments.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams to achieve outstanding results.
Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
Proficient in various project management tools and methodologies.
Experience in hiring, training, and performance management.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range $100,000 to $125,000 based on experience.
