Title: Scheduling & Campus Floater
Start Date: June 23rd, 2025 or earlier
Shift: Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 3:00 PM (additional 1-hour work from home daily)
Pay Rate: $23.50 to $25 per hour (top range with strong experience)
Reports to: Campus Program Director
Collaborates with: Other Campus Scheduler / Food Inventory
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Scheduling and Campus Floater to oversee staff scheduling, campus and classroom floaters, and some kitchen and food prep operations. In this role, you will manage daily staff scheduling to ensure compliance with licensing requirements for adult-to-child ratios and the smooth functioning of the 5 Primary classrooms at the Main Campus. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting other areas of the campus, including classroom and front desk coverage in the mornings and snack preparation and menu creating for the afterschool program.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a flexible and positive attitude who is willing to assist with classroom, kitchen, and front desk support as needed. The right candidate will help create a welcoming environment by greeting and assisting families during arrival and dismissal times, and have professional communication skills when discussing scheduling changes with staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Staffing Support – Schedule staff daily to ensure the 5 Primary classrooms meet licensing adult-to-child ratios. Update the staffing calendar to reflect call-outs and absences. Communicate by text with staff after hours for call-outs and adjust the staffing accordingly. Communicate with other campuses if additional staff are needed to cover ratios.
Assist front desk coverage from 7:30AM to 8:30AM to answer the door and phones.
Be a classroom floater if required
Snack Preparation – Create and publish a monthly snack calendar in accordance with DCYF guidelines. Prepare and distribute snacks daily for our after-school activity club classrooms, considering allergies and dietary needs.
Arrival & Dismissal Support—Help manage car lines for smooth and safe drop-offs and pickups. This includes welcoming families and directing them to sign in and out of our attendance system.
Team support : Maintain a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk, in the classroom, and in the kitchen when working with other staff. Take initiative to a ssist in classrooms as needed or support other campus needs.
Proficient and Comfortable using Google Workspace and laptop for scheduling, ordering, and snack calendar creation, including completing required licensing training and professional development courses and responding to emails in a timely manner.
Strong Time Management & Organization skills.
Great Communicator mature individual with a positive, team-player attitude who can build a collaborative work environment.
Physically Capable – Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Experience (1 to 2 years)
* Working as a staff scheduler in a daycare, school, or nursing home.
* Working in a preschool or nursing home, with light meal planning and preparation experience, and knowledge of DCYF **licensing requirements**.
* Working with children via babysitting, nannying, camp counselor, volunteer, childcare assistant, etc.

Able to meet our DCYF licensing requirements such as the following:
Portable background check via MERIT DCYF
CPR/First Aid training
Blood-borne pathogen training
MMR immunization
TB Mantoux skin test
Food handler’s permit
30 hour basic initial childcare course
10 STARs hours annually
Able to work year-round as our Montessori school is open all year except during federal holidays and two-week Winter break (Christmas and New Year)
Enjoys working with children and is a strong advocate for early childhood education
Reliability and commitment are essential for this role , as maintaining a consistent presence helps ensure smooth daily operations. As a campus opener, it is important that this individual is punctual in the morning.
