    Job Description

    SCHNEPS MEDIA is the largest community media company in the history of New York City and New York State. Schneps dominates the local market with award-winning content across community newspapers, magazines, digital assets and the most powerful group of events in New York City, Long Island, Westchester and Philadelphia.

    We are seeking an experienced SALES EXECUTIVE to develop and build new relationships and sponsors for our digital and print publications in our Brooklyn, Mill Basin and Marine Park markets.

    SALES EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prospect, contact and close new advertisers for our digital and print publications

    • Working directly with clients to develop and nurture relationships to understand their advertising needs

    • Create proposals based on needs of clients to fulfill digital and print advertising needs

    • Upsell existing customers to higher visibility recurring, seasonal, and content marketing programs

    • Prospect specific opportunities for larger sales team initiatives

    • Ensure there is a smooth sales process for clients.

    • Timely and accurate tracking of all sales activity in CRM

    • Manage customer relationships and post-sales advertising content and statistics

    • Meet print, digital and event revenue goals

     

    Sales Executive Job Requirements:

    • Goal oriented, persuasive, hard worker

    • Excellent organizational, written & verbal communications skills and can interact effectively with a wide range of people.

    • Experience with outbound sales, cold calling and email marketing

    • A self-motivated individual able to work independently and as a part of a team.

    • Have a keen attention to detail

    • Must be digitally savvy with proficient computer skills

    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred

    • At least 1-2 years of sales experience preferred

    • Use of a car and a valid driver's license preferred

    • Marine Park/Mill Basin sales experience a plus

    SALES EXECUTIVE BENEFITS:

    • Base salary, plus commission (annual earning potential from $50,000 to $75,000 plus)
