JOB SUMMARY: Load and unload product to and from customers. Complete necessary paperwork for recording of inbound and outbound locations. Warehouse products received from conveyor or truck. Understand and align business operations through execution of the role, exceeding customer expectations and aligning with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

• Work within and adhere to GPI’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork.
• Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner; Be actively engaged in safety programs.
• Ensure production and distribution of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation and quality standards.
• Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT); Operate clamp truck; Operate man lift to heights of 30 feet.
• Operate RF units.
• Unload, warehouse, and properly document inbound shipments.
• Wrap units and change stretch wrap rolls; Proficiently use automatic wrappers.
• Load and properly document outbound shipments.
• Store finished goods in designated storage areas as properly documented.
• Pick and properly document all staged loads.
• Consolidate product in warehouse.
• Once qualified, instruct and train other.
• Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Fulfill overtime requirements necessary to ensure production and distribution requirements are met.
• Assist in other areas or perform other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

• Manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Minimum of 3 year of Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience.
• Experience operating clamp trucks, preferred.
• 18 years or older.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

• 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends off. 
• Must be willing and able to work overtime.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to successfully complete written and driving examination required to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operator license.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without accommodation. This includes: Walking or standing for extended periods of time, up to 12-hours; Lifting, lowering and carrying to 50 lbs.; Overhead lifting; Hearing and visual acuity and depth perception necessary to operator PIT equipment, and read computer screen or other electronic devices; Working in various temperatures & humidity levels; Working at heights to 30 feet.
