Job Title: School Age Camp Teacher (Summer & Afterschool Programs) Location: Sakonnet Early Learning Center – Tiverton, RI Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM | Up to 40 Hours/Week

Sakonnet Early Learning Center is hiring a School Age Camp Teacher/Assistant to support our engaging summer camp and after-school enrichment program. If you're creative, energetic, and love working with kids, this is your chance to build valuable experience in a dynamic, child-focused setting!

What You'll Do:

Lead age-appropriate activities including games, arts & crafts, science projects, and outdoor play

Supervise school-age children (ages 5–12) in a fun, structured, and inclusive environment

Support homework time and smooth daily transitions between activities

Promote teamwork, safety, and positive behavior

Collaborate with teaching staff and communicate with families as needed

Who Are You:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience working with school-age children in group settings preferred (e.g., camp, afterschool, youth programs)

Energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic about child development

Great team player with a growth mindset and willingness to learn

Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background checks
