At Thrive Early Learning Center, we believe childhood should be protected, joyful, and full of belonging. We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and relationship-driven School-Age Teacher & Bus Driver to support our before- and after-school program.

This role is perfect for someone who loves building connections with elementary-age children and understands that structure, safety, and consistency matter.

What You’ll Do

Transportation & Safety

Safely transport children to and from local elementary schools

Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections

Maintain accurate attendance and name-to-face accountability

Follow all TN DHS transportation and supervision requirements

Classroom Leadership

Lead engaging, age-appropriate activities for children ages 5–12

Support homework time and academic encouragement

Facilitate structured play, outdoor time, and enrichment

Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming classroom environment

Model emotional regulation and respectful communication

Who You Are

Reliable and punctual — children depend on you

Calm, confident, and consistent with behavior guidance

Warm but structured

Able to manage group energy while maintaining safety

Strong communicator with families and team members

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (must have or be able to obtain F endorsement)

Ability to meet TN DHS background check requirements

High school diploma (CDA or higher preferred)

Experience working with school-age children preferred

Must be able to pass required transportation clearances
