About the Role:

New Artisens Childcare in Philadelphia, PA is looking for a passionate and creative School Age Teacher to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children in a nurturing, dynamic environment where imagination and learning go hand in hand.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for school-age children

Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Supervise and guide children during academic support, play, and enrichment activities

Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members

Monitor and document children's developmental progress and behavior

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with childcare regulations

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and daily activities

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Prior experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting

Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate programming

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to pass required background checks per Pennsylvania childcare regulations

Patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children
