    “Helping students reach new heights.” School-Based Behavior Consultation focuses on skill development amp; challenging behavior reduction for student success! SBBC provides ABA therapy amp; behavior support interventions in-school amp; in-home to improve social skills, academics, vocational skills, functional skills, amp; communication. This is accomplished through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) amp; in collaboration with other specialists, school staff, the students we serve, amp; caregivers.

    SBBC is student-oriented. Through the use of behavior-analytic methods, we place highest priority on equipping amp; empowering students to reach new heights in each setting they encounter!

    Mission: We are a team of behaviorists amp; RBTs who partner with amp; equip students, caregivers, amp; school staff to gain the skills needed to reach their full potential.

    Vision: We envision schools throughout East Central Indiana having the qualified sta amp; training needed to provide specialized behavior support services so ALL students can succeed.

    SUMMARY

    As an integral member of a dynamic team, you will serve as the main point of contact for

    families receiving services from School-Based Behavior Consultation. In this role, you will help families identify, plan, navigate and coordinate services. You will liaise with families and community service providers and help families with practical matters such as completing paperwork and finding support in their community. Additionally, you will orient new families to our policies and procedures and ensure those are being followed.

    WORK DAY

    Family Support Coordinator role requires approximately 20-30 hours per week to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities.

    COMPENSATION

    This position is for approximately part-time hours, employed:

    • $24-$28 per hour

    • Includes the following benefits:

    • Major medical, vision, and dental, supplemental insurance, unemployment insurance, workman’s compensation, and social security and medicare taxes

    • PTO - up to 6 days per year

    • Five Paid Holidays

    • Retirement - 100% match on the first 3% of compensation + 50% match on the next 2% of compensation

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conducts new caregiver orientation.

    • Informs caregiver about general policies and services provided by School-Based Behavior Consultation.

    • Compiles and sends caregiver consent forms as needed, ensuring accuracy, formatting, and signatures of participating evaluators.

    • Informs caregivers about resources for alternative funding sources as needed.

    • Responds to all requests from caregivers requesting more information on resources.

    • Assists families in identifying and obtaining community resources as necessary.

    • Provides caregiver support and education as requested including handouts, resources, webinars, training.

    • Facilitates internal teaming and family-centered team meetings, as needed.

    • Sends appropriate correspondence to referral sources regarding the plan of care and treatment status updates.

    • Participates in department, staff meetings, and other internal committees as necessary.

    • Provides public awareness activities including but not limited to resource fairs, educational presentations/training, and/or social media.

    • Creates and distributes flyers regarding community events and SBBC services.

    • Maintains ASD Engagement Scheduling calendar and ensures School-Based Behavior Consultation is participating in community events that support ASD community.

    • Represents School-Based Behavior Consultation in external community meetings when requested.

    • Sends social validity feedback surveys to caregivers.

    • Facilitates monthly caregiver support group meetings

    • Posts resources/information and monitors online caregiver support group

    • Informs families of scheduling changes

    • Prepares and distributes caregiver newsletter on a monthly basis

    • Documents case notes in the client’s medical record: staffing’s conducted with therapists, school personnel, caregiver correspondence, and any pertinent information regarding child served.

    • Completes necessary documentation on a monthly basis for reporting purposes.

    • Provides Autism New Diagnosis Orientation Training as requested by the supervisor.

    • Stays current and up to date on research, best and most promising practices, and new publications in relation to autism.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education or related field preferred

    • Minimum of two years’ experience in working with children with developmental disabilities and/or ASD and their families.

    DIRECT SUPERVISOR

    The Family Support Coordinator directly reports to the Intake amp; Onboarding Coordinator
