    PRO Pediatric Services, is seeking an exceptional Mental Health Professional to provide services at Mid Valley Area School District.

    Job Details:

    • Location: Troop, PA
    • Schedule: Full-time, M-F during normal school hours.
    • Caseload: Middle and High School
    • Requirements: Must have a high school diploma, post-secondary education credits in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field, and two years relevant experience implementing emotional and behavioral interventions within a school setting
    • Additional Details: This is a 10-month position beginning in August for the 2025-2026 school year

    Job Description:

    The Mental Health Professional will be assigned to Mid Valley Middle & High School to provide specialized support in school settings for students experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges. This individual should possess relevant post-secondary education credits in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field and two years relevant experience implementing emotional and behavioral interventions within a school setting.

    Under the supervision and guidance of District personnel, the Mental Health Professional will:

    • Provide direct support to students in educational settings, assisting with behavior management, emotional regulation, and social skills development.
    • Assist students with emotional regulation, self-management techniques, and development of coping strategies.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, school psychologists, counselors, and administrators to support implementation of individualized behavioral and emotional support plans.
    • Participate in general, district-directed meetings, contributing insights, recommendations, and progress updates regarding student emotional and behavioral development.
    • Assist in implementation of evidence-based practices, including but not limited to, SEL small group sessions, individual student support, and supporting teachers in classroom-wide social-emotional interventions.
    • Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and interventions, reporting regularly to the educational team and caregivers.
    • At the District’s discretion, participate in TACT2 training and provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed, maintaining student safety and wellbeing.
    • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in emotional support and social-emotional learning strategies.
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhering strictly to FERPA and HIPAA guidelines in managing student records and information.

    What You Bring:

    • High school diploma and post-secondary education credits in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field
    • At least two years of relevant experience implementing emotional and behavioral interventions within a school setting
    • Current clearances (within 6 months); Safety-Care certification is a plus
