    Compensation:

    $75,000-$95,000 annually (commensurate with experience and credentials)

    Position Summary

    The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) provides comprehensive speech and language services to K-12 students within partnering schools throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, providing direct therapy services, developing individualized treatment plans, participating in IEP meetings, collaborating with families and educational teams, and helping students develop the communication skills necessary to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Speech and Language Therapy Services

    Provide individual and group speech-language therapy services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

    Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions

    Monitor student progress and modify treatment strategies as needed

    Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress

    Evaluations and Assessments

    Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations

    Administer, score, and interpret standardized and informal assessments

    Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports

    Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and reevaluations

    IEP Participation and Compliance

    Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings

    Develop measurable communication goals and objectives

    Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations

    Complete required documentation within established timelines

    Consultation and Collaboration

    Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers

    Provide consultation regarding speech and language development

    Educate families regarding speech and language development

    Contribute to a positive, student- centered educational environment

    Professional Responsibilities

    Maintain current licensure and required certifications

    Participate in continuing education and professional development

    Adhere to ASHA’s Code of Ethics and Pennsylvania professional standards

    Deliver services that reflect best practices in speech-language pathology

    Qualifications

    Applicants must meet ONE of the following qualifications:

    Option 1 - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)

    Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

    Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist License

    Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

    OR

    Option 2 - Clinical Fellow (CF)

    Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

    Eligible for Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure

    Eligible to participate in the ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CF) Program

    All Applicants Must Also Possess

    Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

    Excellent organizational and time management skills

    Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

    Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered services

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous school-based experience

    Experience working with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and other complex communication disorders

    Knowledge of Pennsylvania Special Education regulations, IDEA, and IEP processes

    Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

    Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)

    Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)

    FBI Criminal History Clearance

    Travel:

    Local travel between partnering schools may occasionally be required. School assignments are strategically made to minimize travel whenever possible.
