Full-Time School Van / Bus Driver – Christian Childcare Center Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Monday–Friday |

Little Scribbles Childcare & Learning Center is seeking a reliable and caring professional for a dynamic dual-role position ideal for someone who enjoys both driving and working directly with children.

As our School Van / Bus Driver, you will safely transport students to and from school and field trips while also assisting in classrooms throughout the day. When not driving, you will serve as a valued support staff member—helping teachers, providing breaks, and engaging children in a caring and professional manner.

This is a full-day position with consistent hours, perfect for someone who wants meaningful work in a supportive school environment.

Pay

$17–$19 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule

✔ Monday–Friday ✔ 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM ✔ No evenings ✔ No weekends ✔ Full-time, year-round position

Transportation Responsibilities

• Safely pick up and drop off students at designated locations • Follow all traffic laws and center safety policies • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns • Assist children with entering and exiting the vehicle safely • Build positive relationships with children and families

Classroom Support Responsibilities

• Assist classrooms between van runs and on non-school days • Provide teacher lunch breaks and classroom coverage • Support daily routines such as transitions, snack time, and supervision • Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities and play • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment • Model positive behavior and support the center’s Christian-based values

Qualifications

• Valid CDL or V Endorsement required (school bus & passenger endorsements preferred) • Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety • Comfortable working with children in a school or childcare setting • Calm, friendly, and professional in busy environments • Comfortable using GPS and adapting to route changes • Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
