LeafSpring School is seeking a dependable and caring Cook to prepare nutritious, appealing meals and snacks for our students. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to food safety, and comfortable working in a busy childcare environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks.

Follow established menus, recipes, portion sizes, and dietary guidelines.

Accommodate documented food allergies and special dietary needs.

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen.

Follow food-safety, storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures.

Order supplies, monitor inventory, and reduce food waste.

Clean dishes, utensils, equipment, and food-preparation areas.

Coordinate with school staff regarding meal schedules and student needs.

Maintain required meal, temperature, inventory, and sanitation records.

Qualifications

Previous cooking or food-service experience; school or childcare experience is preferred.

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergy prevention.

Ability to follow menus and prepare meals for groups.

Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.

Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20lbs.

Current food-handler certification, or willingness to obtain one.

Ability to pass required background checks.

No nights or weekends Working Hours are 7:00am - 2:00pm M - F
