    Primrose School of Fairfax is a premier early childhood education center offering a Balanced Learning® approach for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that fosters lifelong learning and builds strong partnerships with families.

    We are seeking a dynamic, experienced School Director to lead our dedicated team and ensure full compliance with licensing standards, health and safety regulations, and Primrose’s high operational and educational standards.

    Leadership & Staff Management

    Inspire, coach, and lead a team of teachers and administrative staff to deliver exceptional educational outcomes

    Support professional growth through ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and training

    Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence

    Compliance & Quality Assurance

    Maintain full compliance with Virginia state licensing regulations, health codes, and all relevant laws and safety standards

    Ensure all staff meet training, certification, and documentation requirements

    Conduct regular internal audits and classroom observations to uphold program integrity and quality

    Operational Excellence

    Oversee daily operations including scheduling, staffing, parent communication, and facility maintenance

    Implement and monitor policies to ensure a safe, secure, and positive school environment

    Partner with owners and leadership team to meet enrollment, staffing, and quality benchmarks

    Family Engagement

    Build strong relationships with families through effective communication, transparency, and problem resolution

    Represent the school positively during tours, meetings, and community events

    Respond promptly and professionally to parent concerns and feedback

    Qualifications and requirements Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required (Master’s preferred) Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood program Deep understanding of state and local childcare licensing regulations Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Passion for early education and commitment to high-quality care MLBC
