Position Overview
CLF Consultants LLC seeks a Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC)-certified School Psychologist to deliver psychoeducational testing, behavioral assessment, and IEP psychological evaluation services to students ages 3 through 21 across Whitfield County School System sites in Dalton, Georgia.
The School Psychologist joins a multi-discipline contracted team aligned with Whitfield County's Special Education department. Caseloads run approximately 55-65 students per direct-service discipline; assignment volumes vary by service model, campus distribution, and IEP changes across the school year. CLFC PMO works with the Whitfield County Special Education department to balance caseloads, cluster campuses to minimize drive time between schools, and rotate coverage as needed. The 8-hour billable workday is anchored to student school hours; service delivery is in-person preferred. Whitfield County provides instructional materials, computers, printers, and evaluation toolkits including district-licensed assessment instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations including cognitive, achievement, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive assessments to support eligibility determination and IEP development
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessment batteries (e.g., WISC-V, WJ-IV, KABC-II, BASC-3, Vineland-3, ADOS-2 where credentialed) in compliance with publisher protocols and IDEA evaluation standards
- Prepare comprehensive psychological evaluation reports within IDEA-mandated timelines (typically 60 calendar days from consent), with clear eligibility recommendations tied to Georgia Department of Education special education eligibility categories
- Develop and contribute to functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP) for students with behavioral support needs
- Attend IEP meetings during the 8-hour school day as scheduled, presenting evaluation findings and contributing diagnostic recommendations to the IEP team
- Provide consultation to teachers, special education staff, and parents on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) School Psychologist certificate in good standing
- Specialist degree (Ed.S.) or doctoral degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in School Psychology from a NASP-approved or APA-accredited program
- Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students ages 3-21 in a K-12 setting

- Successful completion of background check per Whitfield County School System and Georgia Department of Education requirements
- Reliable transportation to multiple school sites within Whitfield County
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- NASP Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential - eligible for the NCSP differential (see compensation details)
- Three or more years of K-12 school psychology practice in a multidisciplinary special education environment
