Gohanna Solutions is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to support students in a school-based health environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing assessments, treatment, and consultation services to students as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessments, treatments, medication administration, and accurate documentation in line with Health Center standards
Communicate and collaborate effectively with school staff, parents/guardians, and community-based healthcare professionals
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP meetings as required
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to enhance nursing practice and student outcomes
Lead or participate in performance improvement initiatives as assigned
Serve in a charge nurse or unit coordination role when needed
Deliver health education to students to promote independence and provide health education support to staff
Supervise and support staff performing delegated nursing functions
Maintain ongoing professional development and continuing education
Additional Duties
Support specialty clinics as needed
Provide emergency healthcare services to staff
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment & Schedule
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Friday: 12:45 PM – 3:45 PM
Some flexibility, occasional overtime, and rare weekend assignments
Work Term: 11-month annual schedule
Environment: Multiple indoor campus locations; walking between buildings or use of a golf cart may be required
Physical Requirements
Ability to push/pull 100+ pounds
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Maryland State Board of Nursing
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
LPN candidates may be considered with a commitment to obtain an RN degree within 3 years
Minimum of 1 year pediatric nursing experience
Strong knowledge of the nursing process and professional standards of practice
Experience or knowledge working with students with multiple or developmental disabilities
Familiarity with childhood development, cerebral palsy, communicable diseases, and intellectual/developmental disabilities
First Aid and CPR certification required
After the first year, the role requires working knowledge of:
Behavior management and basic gestural systems
Data collection practices
IDEA regulations and service implications
Health Center software systems and internal policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $66,609 – $132,687 (commensurate with experience)
