    Guest Experience Facilitator Location: West Palm Beach, FL Status: Part-Time | 16 hours per week | Non-Exempt

    About Mounts Botanical Garden

    Mounts Botanical Garden (MBG) is Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest public garden. Our mission is to inspire and educate through nature, offering a living classroom for students, families, and lifelong learners.

    Position Overview

    The Guest Experience Facilitator is a frontline role supporting MBG’s education and guest services. This position helps deliver school programs, greets and assists visitors, and ensures a welcoming, positive experience for all.

    Responsibilities

    Education & Program Delivery

    Deliver engaging school programs, especially the Nature Quest program.

    Facilitate discovery stations, including set-up, maintenance, and breakdown.

    Lead and manage groups of students and teachers during visits.

    Learn and deliver science-based youth curriculum.

    Support post-program cleanup and space reset.

    Guest Services & Visitor Support

    Greet and assist guests, maintaining a professional, welcoming environment.

    Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information about MBG programs, events, and memberships.

    Support logistics for group visits (schools, tours, organizations).

    Process admissions, memberships, and sales using POS/CRM software.

    Stock and organize merchandise to keep the Garden Shop clean and inviting.

    Operational Support

    Follow Garden policies and maintain professional appearance and conduct.

    Keep workspaces clean and notify manager of supply or inventory needs.

    Support a positive workplace culture and assist with Garden-wide events.

    Flexible availability for weekdays, weekends, evenings, and special events.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or college coursework in education/science preferred.

    Experience working with children, youth, or families in education, retail, or customer service settings.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, adaptable personality.

    Ability to engage groups and work well both independently and in a team.

    Comfortable with public speaking and learning new systems (POS/CRM).

    Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

    Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not required.

    Schedule

    Part-Time | 16 hours per week minimum.

    Base schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (other shifts may be available).

    Requires some evenings, weekends, and holidays for programs or events.

    Conditions of Employment

    Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    Employment contingent on satisfactory reference and background checks.
