Job Title: Therapist
Department: Student Health and Counseling Services, Student Affairs
Reports To: Associate Director, Student Health & Counseling Services
Position Overview:
Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to SVA students. Contribute to mental health programming and be an active member of the Student Health and Counseling Services team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Administration and Community Outreach:
Create and host mental health programming on campus.
Create and conduct trainings for staff, faculty and Resident Assistants.
Consult with staff, instructors and parents while maintaining confidentiality.
Follow-up and case management for students as required.
Conduct mandated sessions for students.
Actively participate in biweekly case meetings with Student Health and Counseling Services team.
Maintain relationships with outside referral sources and continue to develop community based referral resources.
Attend conferences, lectures and coursework as needed.
Contribute to Student Health and Counseling Services' reports as needed.
Other duties as need arises.
