JOB DESCRIPTION

Schrader Pacific, is a fast-paced automotive parts manufacturer, located in Altavista, VA and we are currently seeking a Cost Accountant to add to our Accounting team!

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:

• Maintain standard cost. Update for current engineering revisions and complete update at beginning of year.
• Maintain product data management files for approved engineering change request.
• Maintain data on inventory purchases for determination of variances to frozen standards and for use in current costing.
• Reviews customer sales and credits daily to insure the proper inventory accountability and to value all no charge shipments.
• Interact with customer service/planning, as required, to insure the efficient flow of information.
• Communications with bank pertaining to receipts, clearings and stop payments.
• Reviews administrative activities for waste elimination opportunities.
• Calculate commissions book expense and prepare payment of commissions after proper approval.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience (Preferred)

Minimum of (4) years related experience (Preferred)
