Millbrook School seeks an experienced biology teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Our biology courses combine aspects of the traditional high school biology curriculum with opportunities for experiential learning through campus wetlands, local ecology, and the Trevor-Lovejoy Zoo. Candidates who can also teach in another sub-discipline (for example, environmental science) are preferred. The campus's resources and commitment to environmental stewardship provide unique opportunities for hands-on work and original student research throughout the Science Department. A bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and strong communication skills are required. Coaching & teaching experience are preferred. In addition to teaching four sections (or the equivalent), this position includes coaching or supervising an afternoon program for two out of three seasons and serving as an advisor for up to six students. Full-time faculty members are also expected to participate in community service, evening responsibilities, activities, assemblies, and attend required meetings and workshops. The primary goal of a teaching faculty member is to ensure that each student reaches their full potential . Housing may be provided and would entail residential life duties.
Salary range for this teaching position is $41,000 - $90,000. When determining placement in the salary range, Millbrook School considers total teaching experience, number of years working at Millbrook School, and other factors permitted by law.
