The Position:

The Science teacher will be assigned a maximum of five sections of Science courses and work alongside other Math and Science teachers within our school’s STEM Department.

New teachers officially begin their position on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 for new faculty at Cristo Rey Brooklyn. The first day of the school year for all faculty and staff is Monday August 25, 2025.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Secondary Science Education is required
• Master’s Degree in Secondary Science Education is preferred but not required
• Prior successful full-time teaching experience in grades 7-12 is strongly preferred
• Able to use technology to further student learning (i.e. Google Classroom, Zoom, PowerSchool)
• Prior experience in Cristo Rey schools, Teach for America, Alliance for Catholic Education, or NativityMiguel schools is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary range is $55,000-$65,000 on an annual basis; the exact amount is commensurate with experience and benchmarked with our peer local and Cristo Rey Network schools. Comprehensive benefits are included in the overall compensation package.
