Job Description

SCISMIC is supporting the growth of our life sciences software company. We are looking for a scientist with a strong background in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics to join our team. You should be an effective communicator, an organized individual, and strong at problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

You will be working very closely with our clients to help them with their workflows, help ensure they have SOPS in place to prevent data loss, write consulting SOWs (statement of work), deploy cloud and in-person based bioinformatic workflows.

You will need

• Minimum of a PhD in a relevant field, such as computational biology, bioinformatics, proteomics, etc. or MS with 3-5 years of professional research experience
• Background in both computational and wet-lab sciences
• Previous experience with distributed version control tools
• Comfortable working from the linux command line, especially bash
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
