Scissors & Scotch in The Colony is seeking an outgoing and friendly receptionist to join our team!

In this position, you are like air traffic control. You manage who checks in, checks out, is waiting for their appointment, orders a drink, etc.

Compensation:

• $15/hour base pay

• Commission on membership sales

Qualifications:

• Friendly, outgoing, strong work ethic, and passionate about hospitality

• Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience preferred

• Must be available to work evenings (until 8pm) and weekends (until 7pm)

Job Description:

Create, edit, reschedule and cancel appointments.

Create new client profiles.

Answer phone calls.

Greet and thank clients upon arrival and departure.

Maintain an efficient schedule, to make sure each day is maximized for barbers and stylists.

Notify the grooming staff when a client has arrived.

Check out clients, after an appointment.

Communicate with the grooming staff regarding potential client issues, and alert leadership, if necessary.

Monitor appointment timeliness and ensure the schedule is running on time.

Make scheduling alterations if, say, people get behind, to get things back on track.

Assist with membership questions and set-up.

Check out product purchases.

Maintain an extremely clean and tidy space.

Our receptionists are client experience professionals, responsible for greeting, making people feel comfortable, answering questions, starting conversations, creating relationships, and generally creating a fun, welcoming environment.
