Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings

Scoop ice cream accurately and efficiently using proper food handling techniques to maintain quality and sanitation standards

Operate POS systems to process transactions smoothly and accurately

Upsell additional toppings, sundaes, or specialty items to enhance customer experience and increase sales

Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including sanitizing scoops, counters, and utensils regularly

Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashing out customers and balancing registers at shift end

Support food preparation tasks like stocking supplies, refilling toppings, and cleaning equipment as needed

Other job duties as required

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!

Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and a friendly demeanor

Ability to handle food safely, follow sanitation protocols, and maintain a clean work environment

Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations; familiarity with retail math is a plus

Excellent time management skills to serve customers efficiently during busy periods

Experience with POS systems is advantageous

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced setting

Ability to lift, carry and move a minimum of 25 lbs. multiple times over the course of a shift

Food Handlers’ Card or ability to obtain upon employment

Flexibility to be able to work evenings and weekends

Have reliable transportation
