    Scott Engineering is in search of motivated, ambitious Assembler who want to learn and grow within a company. Under close supervision, assembles and installs wiring, small parts, capacitors, switches and related components into cabinets; fabricates various sub-assemblies; and does other additional work as required. Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Works primarily with other assemblers and is responsible for consistently meeting quality and production standards. • May assist sheet metal, grinding, and welding work crews as needed. • Operates forklift to move pallets and cabinets. • Assembles capacitor racks. • Installs oil switches, copper fuse holders, insulation, mountings, porcelain, links, and louver covers. • Drills and installs glastic fittings. • Builds transformer brackets. • Verifies correct clearances and hole diameters are given blueprints. • Operates air sander to deburr door handles and round corners on Plexiglas. • Operates mini-punches, notches, grinders, band saws, impact wrenches, ratchets and small hand tools. • Makes up small hardware parts. • Cleans and maintains work area. Qualifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • experience in manufacturing preferably PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
