Responsibilities: • The Bill of Materials Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining Item Master, Bill of Materials, Resources, Routings, Operations (workflows), and related data in the ERP system • You will use your attention to detail and your passion for organization to create, modify, and maintain Items, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Configuration Management, and Routings for our products • Work closely with manufacturing personnel to establish routing/labor hours for all subassembly and finished good BOMs • With your expertise, you'll ensure that our products meet the highest standards for accuracy and consistency • Develop a thorough understanding of the cost impact resulting from changes and support material requirements, costs, Customer Service, and manufacturing • Create, modify, and maintain accurate and consistent Item data, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, Resources, and Operation records • Work closely with manufacturing personnel to establish routing/labor hours for all subassembly and finished good BOMs • Actively engage in the construction of BOMs and Routings derived by cross functional communication with various departments • Understand the cost impact of changing BOMs, Routings and Items as well as impact on production use, inventory values, variances, and COGS Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required Knowledge of BOM and Routing structuring and the difference between: Engineering BOM Manufacturing BOM • Experience in a Manufacturing/Assembly environment • Understanding of workflows, process steps process interactions • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills • Drive and desire to dig for answers which improve company processes is critical; initiative is key • Strong communication skills are a must, particularly the ability to prepare clear, concise, professional written and oral communications • Possess the ability to gather, organize and analyze large amounts of data and information with great attention to detail • Be able to work independently and within a team framework • A natural affinity for details, organization and timeliness is crucial • Capable of understanding technical drawings • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) • Experience working with ERP systems A STATEMENT FROM SCOTT MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS HUMAN ASSETS DEPARTMENT Scott Manufacturing Solutions has partnered with E-Verify to verify work eligibility in the United States.
