    A first-class Logistics Manager will be someone whose shipping expertise translates into smooth and cost-effective delivery services. The role is to get the right product, in the right quantity, in the right condition, at the Right time, to the Right customer. A logistics manager assures the movement, distribution, and by working closely with the inventory control, the storage of components, supplies, and materials for the company. They are responsible for the planning of all transportation (inbound and outgoing). Responsibilities: Oversight of logistics includes the shipping-receiving team: • Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates • Evaluating carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics • Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting inbound and outgoing deliveries • Sourcing ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers • Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations • keeping shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency • Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement improvements • Ensuring logistics adheres to laws, regulatory, internal guidelines, and ISO requirements • Data collection and verification control of transportation shipping documentation (inbound and outgoing) • Monitoring of product movement • Product packaging • Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment Oversight of Fleet • Complying with shipping industry regulations and company policies • Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet • Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits • Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection • Complying with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules • Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, relevant field or equivalent • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role • In-depth knowledge and solid understanding of the logistics/transport • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office 36 Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 yearly
