  • Responsibilities

    Under close supervision, assembles small parts, capacitors, switches, and related components into cabinets; fabricates various sub-assemblies; and does other work as required. Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. • Works primarily with other assemblers and is responsible for consistently meeting quality and production standards. • May assist sheet metal, grinding, and welding work crews as needed. • Operates forklift to move pallets and cabinets. • Assembles capacitor racks. • Installs oil switches, copper fuse holders, insulation, mountings, porcelain, links, and louver covers. • Drills and installs glastic fittings. • Builds transformer brackets. • Verifies correct clearances and hole diameters given blueprints. • Operates air sander to deburr door handles. • Operates mini-punches, grinders, band saws, impact wrenches, ratchets, and small hand tools. • Makes up small hardware parts. • Cleans and maintains work area.
